What are there special plans going on where unknown company is to lease only 4 townships in Belmont County Ohio

I recently saw a times leader full page ad from a Vp Ventures wanting to lease only 4 Belmont County Townships starting with Warren,then Kirkwood ,Flushing and the western 1/3 of Union Township .

I also was told a company is planning to build a frack water treatment facility near Barnesville.

Does anyone else have any information or ideas about this situation .

When I called the newspaper phone number I was told the person was not able to tell me any information based on his position in the company

All I was told is there will be a major signing by the end of January.

Any comments on this situation .

Hello all just to ad to this post I have heard from a friend of mine that he received a return call from a new company wanting to get acres in the 4 townships and they are  called Silver Oaks Operating ,and they are interested in this area and plan to do a joint venture with someone ?

The paper stated $5115 per acre . Does anyone have better offers on the table now ?

Has anyone heard of this company or any of their operations .

This site has slowed down on the posting here for some reason and we need to keep each other updated for the benefit of all our neighbors and friends to see how this play is turning out .

My dad was offered $5800 last week. 21% royalties, 4yr lease. I suggest you hold out. It will keep going up.

Jason ,What area and what type of lease offer , a modified addendum lease or normal company style controlling top to bottom of property

the guy that called my buddy said he was with SIlver Oaks Operations or operating  ,and he was called from Texas from that company . I tried  to call the number he gave me to see who they really are. no answer or even an answering machine just now ?

Sorry bill you lost me on that one , I don't know if this is another shell company or not but it looks that way . A lot of the leases that had a non disclosure clause has stopped peopl from passing on the offers in various areas .

I bought my land over 30 years ago and I want to do what is best for my children and beyond so it pays to investigate a bit.
