Is there any way to know if you'll be in the pool of a well before it is drilled? How do you know that you're in a well once it is drilled? It feels like it was so long ago that we signed our lease & now we have wells coming close by so I'm curious to know if we'd be in any of them.

Permalink Reply by craig on February 3, 2012 at 6:08pm In Pa, once the permit to drill is approved you can get a copy of the intended unit, intended drilling length/direction and drill site layout. However the unit seems to change some once the well is drilled and they file the official unit with the count courthouse.
