Beaver County shale gas well status.

It doesn't appear that the PA DEP is nearly as good at providing current info on well status as the OH DEP.      Can we do it ourselves?      If we start a separate discussion on each well site in the county, and anyone with new info adds it to the discussion, we can maintain status.      Who wants to start a discussion on a well site in their area?

$3,100.00 acre and 17% CHK by Mason Dixon..in Hookstown area for the last 6 months all size lots.

I have heard that around Industry $5,800.00 acre..came from a landowner off of Tuska..

Wow,  $5800 vs $3100 is a lot of difference for the same "super rich" property, which range resources thinks we have in this area .     Can anyone else confirm the tusca area figures, including royalty?      How many acres involved?     If chk is going to be doing a lot of drilling in this area it is not just for dry gas but the wet and and super rich gas.      Plus, it appears that there are more formations of interest in this area besides utica and marcellus.     I feel the $3100/acre is "super poor" for "super rich" property.

Are they around Baden-Economy area almost 500 contig. Does anyone have contact for range or whoever is writing leases?

Are you saying you have 500 acres to lease?      They should be contacting you!     Range Resources and Chesapeake Energy are leasing in Beaver Co.      My only contact is with my landman but others in this discussion group have more info.     Check other discussions in this group.

I have a friend who has that much acreage. (dairy farmer). I can try and see who he's working with. Last I heard - both range and CHK were still in the 3k range.

From what records I gleaned, the only ones that have anything producing  in your area is Airdale Oil and Gas, and they are not drilling horizontal wells. I haven't heard of anybody from that area leasing either, but they could be leasing and I haven't heard yet cause it is abit far away from my area.

True, leases are starting to expire.  There are numerous properties in Hanover township which were under Range.  I have actually been contacted by landmen stating that Range is working on those leases (expiring 3rd and 4th quarter).

I have seen mention on GMS about Shell buying Range out......Think there's any truth to it or did I miss that news?

Glenn, I was talking to a fella Monday whose son used to work for Range,as a geologist. He said Shell did indeed buy Range, fwiw.

Thanks Sawdust. Bet it has alot to do with the impending Cracker Plant...? If all this is true , that is. Hopefully our gas is wet up this way too.

Work on the Cody Trust well pad on Engle Road in Industry is progressing.  Permit issued 2/14.
