Mysterious land survey

After being gone for a couple of days, I returned to find that two parcels of my land in Liberty township had been resurveyed with survey stakes and ribbon on top of previous surveyor capped pins. I have talked to the Guernsey county map office and nothing has been recorded. I think it might have to do with g&o but don't know what since one of the parcels is not in a well unit and the other is only 10 acres of a 40 acre hbp unit. Has anyone else been surveyed lately?

I found a strange marker in my field with pink streamers at top.  No pins in ground.  On stake says P8- County - mon.     This is about 30 ft off road in a field HBP.  Maybe something other than O & G, but there is no ROW for anything else.  Washington twp, Guernsey.

Thanks Jeannette. One of the parcels resurveyed was close to the road but the other is about 100 yards from the road. The interesting thing is that all four corners of each parcel have been remarked. I have owned this land free and clear for years so have no idea what is going on. The only markings on the stakes on my land is one line on the very top but they also have pink streamers.

I would check with the O & G who has the 10 acres.  Maybe they resurveyed to be sure the know which acres?  Just guessing.  I have no pin near mind.  Single stake in a field.  Maybe someday I will find out. LOL

I spoke with the O&G company with the HBP lease and they know nothing about the resurvey but also find it very interesting.
