Gulfport Has started working on the well pad on Rt. 22 by Antrim, ohio. Big excavators/Dozers @ work. Limestone being brought in. Dont have to worry about frost laws @ this site! Have'nt heard how many acres the unit is. Did see they were going 10,000 ft. Can't wait to see what comes out oif this hole!

The rig is up! All lit up like a big christmas tree. Pretty good size rig, sure this is not a horizontal drill? not just a verticle test well?

Anyone get the feeling that there is more than one play here, other than the Utica?

They seem to be interested in the Point Pleasant as well as the Utica: http://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/35533602?profile...

The documents are online. the well is called a test well. target depth 10,000 ft. to the Utica. That's about 5000 ft,m&l verticle to the Utica, then 5000 ft m&l  laterally thru the shale. They are suppose to send test samples from every 90ft. in the lateral part. The units acreage is same as the Grohl plat they are drilling on.  That could be revised later, as well as turning it into a producing well.  On the doc. question ;Multiple wells; the answer was checked no,with a side note-- "none at this time". From what I've been reading, Gulfport may be leaning towards the 1280 ac. 6 well units. they can poke one hole & hold lots of land for ever.

That depends on the lease you have..

True, Steve. I think lots of the folks around the Grohl farm signed with Wishguard early last year. $1850 pr!  Dont know what the wording of the lease said, but with Wishguard, good luck.

I looked at the Wishguard lease abt mid summer when they were offering $1650 and it needed a LOT of work. I still have it here somewhere in the "Forget This" file.

Note how close the well pad is to the newly built house in the left of the 2nd photo. Wonder how they like their new neighbor?

I stopped at the site today also & snapped a few pics from a different angle than AT it looks like.  Also got to talk to the guard that was in the station there.  He was a very personable fella!  He said that the only complaints he had heard so far from the neighbors (whose house was directly across from the guard shack) was about the bright lights from the guard station shining in their windows at night.  They have since turned off two of the lights they were running & repositioned the other two so that they no longer shine in their windows.  I could hear some sound coming from the rig, but from where I was at the guard shack (about the same distance as the house) it wasn't anything that would keep me awake a night.  It was a slight drone type of sound.  The guard told me that he thought that Gulfport either had started or was about to start another pad about 2 or 3 miles away from this one...  He didn't give specifics, so if anyone knows anything about this next one please let us know.  Thanks!
