Live in fairfield twp not far from the current drilling sites.   Does anyone know who is leasing in Coumbiana, Fairfield Twp?   We have not signed as of yet, possibly may have missed the first round?

Thanks

I had posted this to another topic but I think it fits here.

I have a BIG or Small question. For those that have dug further into than I have.  I have not seen any indication of large drilling units in Ohio. Can some one give some numbers as to the largest drilled unit so far, the smallest unit and the over all average?

It seems to me as if they want to tie up the acreage. Simply put some one had suggested a unionization of landowners. We see hey where can I lease, who is leasing but right now with the election uncertainty I believe everything is in somewhat of a frozen state.

Might it be in the best interest to sit tight and let the Oil and Gas Companies come to you?

YEP - exactly what we are doing in our neighborhood.......   Well coming in nearby; we are in the Chesapeake NW to SE rectangle.

Don't have answers to your other questions.

Chesapeake tried to get us to sign up in a rush deal a few months ago; looks like it was just a landman ploy to sign some quick acreage.  May regret we didn't sign then, but we all hope in the long run they will come to us when we see the site getting ready for the drilling rig!

Same thing happened to us....we didn't sign CHK's horrible standard lease. Have you gotten water testing papers yet? We got ours last week but have not done anything with them yet.  I called a 1-800 number for CHK to find out why we received them. ....I was told that they send out water testing papers to anyone within a 3000 ft radius of the well unit.  I have contacted an Atty to see if he can help out with getting a good lease. I will let everyone know what happens.

Our water tests were done months ago, even prior to the approach from Chesapeake thru DPS.  Well appears to be a long way off in the future, though.....

I find it amazing that they will pay to have your water tested but not lease your property.
