Water test shows Methane gas in well water

I just got back the test results from GES that was hired by CHK to test the wells that are within a 3000 ft radius of a planned well unit....my well unit is the Whitmer well that is on Garfield Rd in Mahoning county.  My test showed that I have methane gas in my well water. I am curious to see if anyone else has been told this and what do you do to correct this problem...See More

I don't know who they have working in Ohio as I am in Pa. Ron Eiseilstein has been doing a lot of land with them and will know who to contact.

I know the lease is not as good as ours but it is still better than most. And from what I hear from local government types, Hilcorp has been good to work with.

What county/township are you in? The lease is very good. But you will not get the same lease that we got then as the group signing period has expired. You will have to negotiate your own terms. I signed in Sept, the offers have gone up since then.
