As I recall from some earlier post most of the right of ways are in place for a pipeline ( is it called the north beaver pipeline? ) running to the thompson well site.

I think some work has commenced on this project but have not seen anything such as actual pipe being put in place.  Waterlines yes ( I believe to tharp pad ) but no pipeline/infrastructure.  The fact they are putting/spending money on waterlines to that pad is a good sign though.  I am guessing more wells to drill and frac soon.

So, even if the right of ways are in place has anyone heard of an expected time of completion on this project?  As everyone knows without it in place, there will just be alot of wells shut in with no production.  Some leases dictate production or limit the shut in period or the lease expires.

Of course I suppose they could just revert to trucking product away from well sites if need be and thus avoid any leases expiring and I do not think any leases state how much has to be produced.

Thanks for any info on pipeline progress.  If I see/hear anything I will post it.

i am not sure if this old info? beaver county recorder of deeds search UTICA GAS SERV a lot of recently signed right of ways come up. Some contracts have which well they will be serving. Seems ones marked agreement rather than right of way are compressor stations ?

Good find, I've not searched for these in a few months. A lot of them are options to use the right of way, and when they decide to exercise those options they will have to pay a fair amount of $$'s.....which they are short of right now.

I'm not sure I can make the transition to the agreements are compressor station locations, though you could be right. I'd lean more towards those properties are going to have a junction on them or something. I do know gas companies hate two things: First is a drilling rig sitting idle. Second, having drilled  and fraced wells then not producing from them for any extended period of time.

I suspect they are moving as fast as possible to get the gathering system in place. I do know that there are a few properties for the ROW to the Rolling Acres that haven't had anything recorded at the court house, yet.

Here we go!!!!    Things are starting to come together.

thanks craig glad someone appreciates my surfing. I noticed very few recent new leases got bored and stumbled upon pipeline stuff .  You seem very well (haha) schooled  on the subject do you have any idea where MLB possible next well site may be?

I see there is a drilling rig on the Kerry site.  The local police were monitoring traffic off the Petrick  site yesterday, so they are continuing to drill and develop wells in the immediate area.  They also have contacted people over on 168 by the beagle club to take water samples.  They must be planning another unit beside the Powell well site.

Larry, They have a permit for a PGC site, which would be the Pa Game Commission property in that same area i believe. Also they have a permit for a pad near the end of McCloy Road (Gordon property) on Old Blackhawk rd. I hear tell that they plan another pad on the McDanel property just East of Old Blackhawk in the same area. I live in that area and have just mailed in my water sample paperwork.

My brother just talked to an outfit looking to put in a 36" transmission line running N-S along his property at the end of Brady's run road in S. Beaver.

That's all I know of new things in this area.

I don't mean to be overly secretive on where the site was to be.  It is near a more populated area so myself and chesp were not interested in getting everyone excited or irritated as it may be.

The pad ( if it happens, on hold indefinately for now ) would be northeast of the Rolling Acres pad by about 1 mile. )

Again, it was to be a utica pad, I have many drawings/maps..there were some issues with access etc but it was indicated to me that they were simply scaling back and that they had thus far found mainly dry gas and did not expect to return to my place for possibly yrs.

That is actually fine.  I'm fine with no pad and the royalties although I'm not sure how where they can slap a pad down and get to me and others unless its on Blackhawk golf Course and I highly doubt that.

Also I had seen where I was to be hooked up to the pipeline but have never been contacted for a ROW etc...perhaps since they did not drill no need.

Rig 39 that was at the Petrick Pad is now being setup on the Fedorchak Pad on Wildwood Road.

It must be the one i've heard about near Louthan Drive.

Don't put too much faith into what they told you about dry gas. It may be true ( I doubt it) that the Utica is dry gas, but you can dang well bet there is oil or NGL's in other formations if not in the Utica.

I have a customer who is in the know of what is going on....he basically said that every hole they are drilling right now in our area can be called exploratory, because they are still trying to figure out how to get the best results. A good example of this is the fact that originally they came in for just the Utica, and now they have permits and are

drilling Marcellus as well as Utica wells on the same pad.

I've heard the exploratory word going around as well. I was told that the shale was too thin here to yield much, so they are trying their best to HBP, in case they can find anything here in Beaver County, but it wasn't looking good so far.

Frank,

I know the following to be true, straight from the horse's mouth, so to say....

The Marcellus in S. Beaver is something around 40+ feet thick and the Utica is 400+ thick. If you were to get some of the files (vertical views) from the DEP and look at the proposed vertical depth and length of the horizontal, they show you which formations are located where.....in scale so you can plainly see about how thick they are. Here's the one for the Thompson site. I believe you will get a better view by clicking on the file link below as the one here is sized it appears.

Took a ride tonight and it would appear they are clearing a ROW parallel to the power line and the have just crossed Lisbon Road.  The direction is from the Thompson well to the Tharpe well.

Sounds like the direction they should be going out the gate. You do know that there is a 30"(i think is the size) transmission line they are hooked into at the Thompson well.
