I'm aware of a few acquaintances who have gotten their checks through ALOV...One last name started with an 'H' and an 'S', so if it was alphabetical order, then that wouldn't make sense...
If you have heard of those who have gotten their check, please fill us in on the details of how.....Was it first class mail where you have to sign for it, or was it simply in the mailbox? Any details would be appreciated...I know the people I know didn't own alot of acres, if that means anything..
Perhaps those details are out there, but I just haven't seen them...

So, this is what I figured out. BP is paying out bonuses in order of smallest acreage to highest. So that is why we have only hear of people with under 10 acres getting paid. Their is a lot more people with 10 acres and under who signed leases. As they get to people with higher acreage the checks will come faster because their is less people with higher acreage.
Ryan, maybe so, but my neighbor in Bloomfield got his check and he has 50 acres. several around him at 5 and 10 but no more that 15 have been paid. Another neighbor has 10 and has not.
Their still paying. It would appear checks are being cut on Monday's and FedEx'd priority mail. Probably paying on Monday's for previous weeks title work, and checks are going out throughout the week.
Thanks James
Is anyone aware of a landowner / lessor receiving a Title Defect Notice from BP? I am curious if those are also being issued as the title work is completed or if such Notices will all be tendered on or near the Expiration Date (October 1, 2012) of the Due Diligence period?
David Greenwood from BP and some others have said they will notify immediatley a landowner in question, and give the agreed upon chance to clear the defects. Keep up the good spirits and hope it will all work out soon.
Seems like I'm the only person left in Trumbull county that hasn't received their check yet!
Im still waiting impatiently here too......Knowing my luck ill get mine the very last day at the last hour.
No check here yet and I know of several neighbors that are still waiting.
You're not alone Debby. Still waiting. I will re-state KLB's question. "Is anyone aware of a landowner / lessor receiving a Title Defect Notice from BP?" I haven't heard of anyone yet. I am looking at back up plans in case I receive a title defect letter. Hang in there, and hope for the best.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
