One of the reps I spoke with had very little knowledge of Butler County. He had no idea where my particular township was located within Butler County. I was very unimpressed with the reps overall. It was basically a PR event for Shell.

Lance,

"They will succeed in ripping apart communities with resentment playing BS games with upfront money. Hilarious"

I guess you did not have any problem taking their money??

You signed with them Correct? It seems unusual to take their money, be part of their plans then turn around and viciously complain about it.

"Schnoozie" (Sorry, I don't hide behind a nickname), since when does me signing a gas lease with an O&G company make me the company PR rep? If you want to sign a lease with someone, then be pimped out as their PR guy, great. I don't. How in the world is it ethical to arbitrarilly float and cut terms of leases?  Sure if you timed it right and got $3-$4K per acre you are probably laughing at others misfortune. I'm not. I was a a guy's house last night who signed in 2006 because the landman told him within a year he'd have free gas plus royalties. Funny thing is less than a year later the lease was flipped. I signed in 5 different Twps. last year, and it timed well. That doesn't change the fact that a lot of people were hood winked into far worse terms. But you're right, I made good money so pizz on them......

So tell me what is unusuall about calling out Shell or any other O&G company that plays cut throat with folks, then turns them on one another. "Sign or we'll get your gas anyhow, rule of capture" LMFAOI

Don't get me wrong, I think the shale play is great for America, it's just some of the methods to obtain it make me sick.

Moreover, I am working with Long Consulting right now for a pipeline ROW. As long as neither one of us lies to each other, everything will work out great, and I will proudly help bring the product to market.

We just signed in mercer county for $3000. We are adjacent to a unit they just now are ready to drill. Land man said we were an add-on to the unit but i don't necessarily believe him. But,nevertheless, it would be dumb to sign with someone other than Shell because no One else is gonna drill here. We are surrounded by old vista wells.

Has anyone noticed that on 1/07/2013 , FOUR HUNDRED parcels in Lawrence County were assigned to Swepi LP (Shell) from Hilcorp........? Some of my neighbors are among them. Shell is for real folks , you can take that to the bank! Drill Baby Drill!

Glen, how do you find this info?

He is correct. It is on the county database. Good find Glenn!

Glenn; most of those swaps were for smaller parcels of 15 acres or less....a lot of 1 and 2 acre lots. Seems they, SWEPI and Hilcorp, are swapping leases so they can develop drilling units just as predicted.  Haven't seen any going from SWEPI to Hilcorp as of yet but am expecting to see some soon.

I see none of the swapped leases are in northwestern Lawrence county. HilCorp must likey what's up there.

and Hilcorp just leased the Game Lands near Pulaski

Jim,

I haven't taken the time to look all the parcel sizes but I recognized some of the names as being in my area. One is the biggest farmer in New Beaver Boro , the other has 5 acres.

We are only 2 or 3 miles from the Patterson Well so it looks like Shell has filled in the blanks here is south Lawrence County.

As you said , this was predictable from the outset. It was just a matter of who flipped to who. Now we know , at least in my neck of the woods. Now let's get drilling!

Glenn

About 20 were flipped in my neck of the woods.  Largest was 20 acres....most less than 5
