I live in the area and wonder if anyone knows if the well is finally up and running after being tied up in the courts for several weeks. We have 38 acres and signed a lease a good while ago which was way too early I think.Being close to the Ohio border, is it true that it is the wet gas? I have been told both ways.

The McRoberts unit formed by CHK included a piece of the Bibbee's property.  The declaration of the unit, including the identities of the landowners in the unit and their contribution to the unit, is public record filed in Beaver County.  Since it is now HBP by the McRoberts well, there is no need to hurry to develop the entire Bibbee property.

My partner, Steve Townsend, and I represented the McRoberts group in federal court.  Although I am not a liberty to disclose the terms of the settlement, I can say that CHK has the authority to complete the McRoberts well.  It is my belief that CHK has every intention of doing so.

Mark O:  Are you a member of the Greene Township litigation?

I heard there are no plans to develop the Bibbee property because there is not enough room there for the well with current setbacks.

I can't recall the exact specifications that were plotted in the well permit application, but I seem to recall that they were able to fit it considering even the new setback requirements.

lol...i think so..have not followed it much.  i know it is moving forward.  talked to the lawyer last week.  you are welcome to call me at the store!

I heard it's supposed to go in the field behind their house, but one neighbor won't sign a lease so they have to stick with the 500 feet away from their house according to the township rules, so they can't put it there unless the state wins the Act 13 appeal. It's not too close to McRoberts. They are putting them pretty close together in some areas.

Thanks Frank!

I heard this well was capped. Does anyone know what is going on?

We have no way of knowing what is going on, unless it entails waiting for infrastructure to be built....which I believe is at least part of the reason nothing is happening.

Thanks Craig. I guess we'll just have to wait & see.

Anything going on with the McRoberts well?

The Nesbitt well is supposed to be next here. They are already sending out notices to test the water. Several people in the area have received them. Lots of upset folks in that neighborhood.
