Reading the new ODNR map

Been trying to decipher the new ODNR map and am not sure what the symbol for Dry Hole/Oil show means (the PointPleasant layer)  Also, is anyone else having a hard time figuring out all the different pinks, dark pinks and orange pinks? 

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you for the explanation - it certainly makes sense now.

I did see the legend but some of the colors are so similar that it's hard to see the difference between them. Maybe it's just me!
