Exciting things are happening all around us.  Lets discuss and share info.  My neighbor has had surveyors from  texas doing work on his property for a few days now.   Pipeline he says.  Bp and Halcon are aggressively starting work in our area with test wells and production wells.  ODNR has plenty of public info to share if one has the savy and will to navigate it's site.  Lets keep informed by informing each other.  Landowners own or have leased the resources the O&G Compamies are after.  There is absolutely no reason we should'nt communicate.

You are absolutely correct we need to share information.  Halcon rig is drilling in Lordstown as I write this and I understand that it is the same rig that drilled the Brugler well.

Great Idea, and yes, so far in every other county, there has been plenty of talking, asking, sharing going on. People have been willing to share info on lots of things going on with their leasing, attorney dealings, row agreements, bonus money, etc. BUt, watch & see, when they get in a drilling unit, and they start receiving royalty checks, they clam up,never to be heard from again! It's like ,dude,we arent gonna be asking for loans,or break in your house. Everyone just wants to know what to expect from their own minerals.

Thanks for the response guys.  Last summer and into the fall I listened and learned from many folks on here about bonus payments and when and if the "ice cream" truck will arrive.  Suddenly everyone is gone.  They got their bonus checks and left....At least a few of us still care about what is going on around us and wish to learn.

What part of the county are you guys from I am in Lordstown.

MJ,

Yes it has been quiet. Here are a couple of issues that could be fodder for discussion:

Pipelines - many people will be approached to sign a right of way agreement, don't get steam rolled. Also, if you are HBP it doesn't mean a company has automatic access to your property for pipelines or other surface activity.

Unleased land owners - what does the future hold for them ?

Which companies continue to lease in the county ?

Land owners rejected by BP - what do they do now ?

HBP land owners - should they just roll over and accept  their situation, or do they have options ?

I'm sure there are many more issues

Drove past the well being drilled on SR 87 near RT 11  in Green. Hope they find some good stuff!!

Nelson, The well that is currently being drilled in Greene is a Brine injection well. Anyone think BP will frack wells this year ?

Still makes money for a rural area!

Halcon announced in the Vindicator that they would drill I think it was 25 production wells this year in Pa. and Oh. this year.

Vernon here

Well pad being constructed in the apple orchard on State Route 305 just west of Hartford. I believe this is a BP apprasial well site.

still waiting for the magical knock on my door here in Vernon township. Maybe the gas genies are waiting until I can get $20k/ac!!  Bwahahahaha.  Hank Kalmar.

As an aside, I think those of us in Trumbull should keep each other informed in a good general way.  We don't have to go into major details if we feel uncomfortable.  Probably wouldn't hurt to have a face to face this spring where we can share some info too>
