Chesapeake pays 3.27 -3.39 in MAR checks for JAN gas production. south east Bradford.

Down vs DEC, reflecting the lower NYMEX values.

As of today, April NYMEX  is just under $4 and summer months are just over $4.

Much improved but opinions vary where we are headed - the norm.

i think we're gonna hang here, and then drop in the shoulder months, but not under $3.

my reasoning is that the mmbtu price for coal vs.nat gas has changed somewhat, and currently coal is cheaper on an mmbtu basis.

last year when the opposite was true, alot of baseload power was being generated using nat gas. today, the economics are against us.

but the dry gas rig count is down to around 400, storage numbers are back inline with the 5 yr average, and very modest declines are being seen in the bigger shale plays overall. if these trends continue, better days may be ahead come next withdrawal season.

Thank You Jim....Man..a bad back is a tough one to fight...Hope you get better soon...you might have to tie a string to your big toe at the fishin' hole till the back heals!

I don't get on the old site too much...it's getting hard to rile their feathers anymore...kinda like it is here at home...the wife hangs out on one side of the house and I on the other...helps to keep the marriage strong when we ran out of things to say!

If it were'nt for the Grandkids...we'd be off to another state by now...just can't think of one that throws a spark to the heart...I hate the heat..and she hates the cold...of course we can always pretend we're home...but in seperate rooms...me in Alaska...and her in Florida!

Keep in Touch Jim....Life is Boring without ya!

How touching, lol. Hope the back gets better Jim, getting a hip replaced in mid May, might end my step and fetchit days i hope.
