Mcclendon left on April Fool's Day and Returns on Tax Day;

These are the new LLCs he has formed;  which shale play will see them first or which state;  my humble guess some of these LLCs will buy acerage from Chesapeake!

i'm glad ol' aubrey landed on her feet.

i think her leadership of chk, and her "we'll lease a dead cat" attitude was responsible for the escalating lease terms here in nepa. she was tenacious during the early stages of leasing here, and showed that she wasnt gonna be outbid.

i'm pretty sure that chk paid the highest bonus and gave the highest R% of any company in these parts.

not only that, but in their rush to lease pushed by aubrey, chk leased and paid bonus on lots of bad minerals and badly titled land resulting in many millions paid to landowners for nothing in the end. free money basically.

she's ok in my book.

I have no problems with it!..  he paid out millions to a lot of people in beaver county.  I know lot of people who would of lost farms and houses if not for him.  land and home values are moving up and many people are excited for the future.  some people got ripped, including me,  but hey, I was the dumbass that signed the lease.  I hope he comes bidding in beaver county again.  competition is good for all of us!. love him or hate him he was a game changer for this area!

I heard Beaver County is dead for now. Just doing minimal to hold leases.

it's no biggie, she's a smart vixen, many were taken in by her ruthlessness and fooled right along with ya.

I thought he agreed to a year of not being directly involved in this industry. One year would be nothing for him though since a lot of rich people would bet on him again.
Regardless of what he's done, he started a co from the ground up that is now the second largest NG producer.
