leasing companies

Here I am in Center Twp., Guernsey County and all this talk of different companies but can not get anyone interested in my 8-1/2 acres although all my neighbors have leased with just 2-3-1 acres.  Do not understand why. Does anyone have any answers for me.  Thanks.

Hi,

Are you 100% sure you own the minerals? Almost everyone I know that had all the neighbors around them get offers or leased, found out they didn't own their mineral rights.
I'm hoping they just over looked you.

I was told my my County Recorder that I owned the mineral rights.  Could she be wrong?

The recorder is not going to do a title/mineral search for you. You really should consult an attorney to find out for sure.

To start this I would call the leasing co., all the neighbors went with or got offers from. Ask them point blank why they didn't call you or knock on your door.
They may say they saw you do not own them or they are HBP.
If that happens, I would then get a title search done. Many older leases were transferred after they expired but were not released.
The only way to know is to start poking around.
