Enervest to explore Volitile oil in Stark and Tusc.

EV Energy Partners has said it intends to keep an additional 73,500 acres in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, at least for now. The acreage being retained totals 56,600 acres in Ohio and 16,900 acres in Pennsylvania.

The company said it intends to keep its shallow vertical-only wells in Ohio’s Clinton sandstone and the deeper Knox wells.

Walker also announced in Friday’s teleconference that his companies and a partner are developing a new plan to drill 20 new exploratory oil wells in three areas of Stark and Tuscarawas counties.

That drilling could begin late this year, officials said.

The company is seeking to locate and develop what’s called the volatile Utica oil window that drillers so far have largely been unable to tap.

The project’s partner was identified by Walker only as a privately held energy company with acreage near EnerVest’s holdings.

Sharon they do not pour a pad .....they use 2-5 acres leveled out with dozers to create an area called a pad to drill 6- 18 wells on the only thing they pour is gravel on the road to the pad .....the pad is just what they call the area where the drilling rig will setup .....pads are usually about a mile apart from each other .incompassing several landowners on each one ....one well pad may involve 10 or more landowners .....but the well name is where the bore hole is started

This is odd. There are 2 horizontal permits a 5h and a 1H for the Mizer well. One in section 29 and the other in section 34. ODNR only shows the 5H well on the website cumulative activity for approved permits.

 Sharon  they dont pour a pad .....a pad is just an area they level off and build earthen  pits on to drill a well or several wells no cement involved to create a pad  about all they might pour is some gravel for the roads

LOL  James. I have no clue what is going on with this well and ODNR. Maybe you could call or email ODNR and find out what is going on. Both wells are going northwest from the pad. I wonder if there are going to be 2 different well pads at different locations which seems really odd to me?

I believe there were/are two Mizer pads planned with only one pad built currently.  Current pad is "Mizer 29-15-7" from which they will drill the 1H well.  Pad "G Mizer 34-15-7" is yet to be constructed and is the one with the 5H well listed.

the mizer pads must be 2 different pieces of land with the same owner or different owners with same last name ur showing mizer 29-15-7 and G mizer

34-15-7 ....this tells me 2 different mizers

  here I am to ask that ya'll forgive me.

In my confusion  and maybe hast to join in the discussions,

I am sadly mistaken in many statements about the Mizer wells. by not seeing that the wells were activity or permitted wells on the map that I kept viewing, they were not drilled wells.Sorry for causing so much confusion.

 though the map shows me different well lines tonight .than it did in the past few days

.I must have better internet service than wireless to view them.

I should go back to just watching, waiting then reading,reading,reading 

I see where Mike Murphy was correct, thanks for the clarity Mike in Tusc Co. has only the Troyer well, out near Ragersville and the Gribi well near Mineral City, that are in production.

and in reference to pumps ...as Shultz would say... "I know nothiinng"
