Just was curious to hear of any activity going on in Venango county.  Anything from talks of leasing, to actually signing on the line of a lease.

What have the offers been for potential leases?  Any good addendums you were able to negotiate?

Has anyone heard how the completion went for the Seneca Resources well?

Hopefully 2012 will hold a lot more activity for this industry founding area.

Brian,

Where can a person get these Plat Maps? Are they on line somewhere?

Thanks

Berk

I called DEP in Meadville and gave them the permit number. They faxed them to me for free.

Looks like Chevron might be making some changes to the depth they plan to drill the 2 wells on the Brosius pad, Richland Township

Does anyone have an update on this well?  Has it been completed?  Any production results?

Thanks

Bump to Top. Anybody have any news on this Chevron Brosius well? It seems to be the best kept secret in Venango county. Any flare pics, production results...anything? I have friends nearby that asked me to inquire. Thanks.

Nothing has been done since the drilling was completed

Do you know when the drilling was done?  Are you saying that it has not been fracked yet?

Thanks

Drilling was done February or so, maybe march. I don't remember exactly. It has not been fraced.

If it wasn't fracked immediately after drillling, that might not bode well.  Dunno.  That well is in a key location in that it will likely determine how far south and east in the county wet gas goes, or doesn't.  Chevron, unfortunately, is not very forthcoming with information even after a well has been tested.  Thank you for the replies just the same Gents.

I know that activity on the Venango page sure has been slow recently, but wanted to mention that Chevron is currently Fraccing the Brosius well down near Nickleville. They are about a week and a half into the frac of the 2 well pad.

It is a puzzle why Chevron would wait so long to frack the well but it is a positive that they are doing so. Let us all hope for some excellent results. Most companies have likely exhausted their leasing budgets for 2013. Additionally, Venango County still suffers from lack of infrastructure (pipelines) which will take some time to develop. 2014 may see some activity but I think 2015 may be the year for rather extensive leasing. Good results from Brosius will be one  factor that may encourage O&G companies to resume  leasing. Patience is the watchword but being patient is admittedly not always easy!

There were a lot of posts last year about a new pipeline ROW that was going into Rockland and Richland Townships....any word on them? What was the name of the company and/or the pipeline? Have they started work?  If so that could be why they waited to frack the wells until now. ...no use fracking until they can pipe out the gas.

I also heard that Chevron has started work on a new pad just south of I-80 and just west of the Emlenton exit.  Was told the rig is just now being assembled.  Can anyone verify?
