The attack on (all) fossil fuels takes another step forward - Fossil free investments!!

Are you one of the despicable landowners who has leased land for oil or gas development?  Shame on you.  Don't you know you are destroying mother earth!!  Those opposed have a new way to deal with your filthy, ignorant, kind:

Fossil free investments now possible

This will make it easier for all the liberal universities, and other idiotic northeastern liberals as well, to avoid investing in the companies which provide the natural gas they rely on to stay warm each winter!!

Frank,

"...it's wrong to pollute the air with fossil fuels and contribute  to climate change."

Yet these folks continue to use the grid and natural gas, hypocrisy.

Emissions in the U.S. are at 1994 levels. Most of the pollution comes from other countries, not the U.S.

I'll bet theses funds will have investments in those other countries; again, hypocrisy.

I'll bet initially these funds have many companies involved in alternative energy. Wait till the investors see the terrible returns. I bet they switch right back to the fossil fuel based funds, hypocrisy.

Most forms of alternative energy have their own negative environmental impacts, but the environmentalists ignore these, hypocrisy.

The environmental movement is all about throwing sand in the gears of the American economy (not unlike the current resident of the White House). If the enviro-nazis were truly serious about saving the planet, they would be going after countries like China, India and Russia, countries that are far worse polluters than the U.S. is or probably ever was or will be. But, those three countries have forms of government that are acceptable to the greenies (communism/socialism), so they get a pass. These people are nothing but hypocrites and liars, but they are also dangerous to the well being of the U.S. (and maybe Canada, too).

A wonderful thing about our country is that we can chose to invest where we choose. I don't think we need to fear or vilify those who chose to invest in alternative energy.

(I myself am pretty heavily invested in the future natural gas)

But I see no need to accuse others of being communists, socialists, idiotic northeastern liberals, nazi, liars etc.

Perhaps most of them just wnat to support the development of cleaner sources of energy--not a terrible choice. And do it with their own money.

If it ended here, that would be fine. But that isn't what the strident ones are about. Everyone, including those that work for or run the "evil" corporations, have to breathe the air and drink the water. Nobody wants dirty air or water, and it is beyond stupid to believe that anyone would be for a fouled environment. Again, if this movement were real, the focus would be elsewhere and not in the U.S. since there are far worse polluters than this country. But all we here from the greenies is crickets when it comes to the true polluters.

That's mighty white of you, Stephen;  not a surprise I suppose taking into account your appellation.

Are you equally quick to criticize when northeastern liberal scum attack and destroy the lives of NY landowners by the thousands?  Do you sound off when they come here from NYC by luxury bus and limousine to Pennsylvania, where I live, in effort to derail our natural gas drilling and production?

My characterization of such people is no accusation.  It is a straight up, in your face, statement of fact.  I have lived long enough to recognize a totalitarian, communist, statist, filthy liberal when I encounter one.  The northeastern portion of this country is today filled with them!!  And your defense of these un-American scoundrels makes me sick.

God Bless America   lulz

Frank
Perhaps I have misunderstood. I thought your original posting was in reference to people investing in alternative energy. Instead, your comments seem to be about "totalitarian, communist, statist filthy liberals".
I do not think they are necessarily one and the same.

If we are to hate those who chose to invest their money in alternatives to fossil fuel, we certainly will have a long list of enemies.
GE, for example, today announced they are investing $12 Billion in a company heavily involved in alternative energy sources.
Consider that GM, Ford, Honda, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes all have non-carbon based vehicles.
Westinghouse has a considerable investment in energy derived from non-fossil fuels(including nuclear).
Probably (?) you would agree that these are not all "totalitarian...etc". I would further suggest that many of them do not want to destroy the lives of thousands of NY State landowners.

For myself, I have no interest in investing in the fund that you brought to our attention. But I refuse to condemn those who do.

Steve
