I have also received my packet from ET Rover.   I have property in Tyler Co. Wv that they are currently surveying for their pipeline.  I received mine late because of an emergency  services address change. Anyways I was Leary of signing an agreement for their survey because of mentioning of possible damages and or core drilling.  I did however call the number and the man said that a verbal agreement would be fine for just a walk in preliminary survey.  anybody had any offers yet?

I recently sent my permission to survey form in also. I know I'm definitely on their route because there is no other way around me. I'm interested in hearing the offers that they will propose. It won't be long, we'll be hearing more from them.

We also received the packet from ET Rover.I met with a representative from the company that will be doing the surveying for ET Rover. They have an office in St clairsville. The representative was very knowledgable and very willing to chat with me (I did not have an appointment) The whole group made a very good first impression. We signed the agreement for surveying our property. We are in Harrison county, Ohio
There is a land group forming for the project if you google it but it seemed like it wouldnt be worth the fees
Do you know the name of the land group or an email? thanks

Just something regarding eminent domain. I would  think it could only be used if a landowner totally refuses to let them cross his property with the pipeline. If a landowner demands compensation that he feels comfortable with, they just can't bully their way in because they don't want to pay what the landowner is asking. As long as the landowner negotiates then I believe eminent domain cannot be used. Remember too, the smaller supply lines (24 inch) for the Rover pipeline are not FERC lines, so eminent domain cannot apply.

Here is the link to the land group I mentioned earlier.   http://www.ohiopipelineattorneys.com/et_rover_pipeline_landowner_gr...     This landgroup's lawyers take 33% of anything above the initial price per foot offer.  So after taxes plus fees................

Kind of what I thought

People should always do their own legal work.  It's like surgery.  How hard can it be?

Im with Jay, Just read how the fee structure works on the site. Its pretty self explanatory.   That being said, legal work can be extremely confusing to people that do not deal with it on a daily basis. So i get what Dexter is saying.  But at this landgroup's fee rate I think its a no brainer.

Educating yourself is good.  But I'm not into telling people to not get lawyers is all I'm saying.  Plenty of people have used cheap lawyers with some awful results.  Some people have negotiated without lawyers and knocked it out of the park.  Everyone is different and there's no one-size-fits-all advice.

Usually when people get called out they like to defend themselves.  I don't think GMS policy is ironclad.  For an example of that just read literally anything posted by Ron.
