Currently the only companies that are active in Lawrence Co is Rex and Hilcorp.

Contact Western Land Service, New Castle they handle Hilcorp.

My advice would be to contact Rex energy. I believe they have the larger presence in these two townships/boroughs via their shell acquisitions.

Hi Rob. IMHO I would let them come to you. If you go to them they will think your hard-up for money and will give you low ball amounts. With 300 acres you command a premium numbers. 7000per acre bounus. And 22.5% Roy. Good luck!

Agree with this.   REX has a lot of acreage in Lawrence County, especially in the southern half, but they do have considerable "legacy" acreage in the northern portion.  The NW part of the County does not have Marcellus according to many corporate presentations but it does have Rhinestreet and Utica, so I would wait for them to come to you.  Leasing for low $ now is not going to make them drill you any sooner.  When they do decide to drill, they will be knocking on your door.  IMHO.
