Pad Location entrance is across from the IGC 542 Young well drilled to basement several years ago, it is marked as the well  in Northernmost Lawrence County with Rogersville Shale depth shown as 9202'.Well site is off Little East Fork Road.

With all the recent frenzy of activity this is apparently the permit for the well.

That is not a "production permit"-it's a drilling permit.

It's also a vertical well.

Consequently, everybody, like me, that wants to see a Rogersville Horizontal are going to be disappointed.

I want to caution all of my friends on GMS that their is much disinformation out there in the form of hyperbole regarding the Rogersville.

The Rogersville isn't even in it's infancy.  It's gestating.  A stillbirth is still quite likely given the inherent risk of exploration.

Rogersville Horizontals require a lot  of notice and a public  hearing hope you were not thinking this was going to be a horizontal.

The permit is to reopen and deepen the existing well if necessary but would have to be small  drill pipe since there is 5.5" cemented in the hole.they have to get this  permit to be able to flow the well which is producing from the wellbore.

Chesapeake has already logged the hole so  they know what is down there under the confidential permit.
