Nancy,

Shell is laying like 6500 people off and this prolonged oil price slump is really affecting their bottom line according to the CEO. He said some projects will have to be nixed. :-(

We'll see. Gonna have to do some praying it sounds like...

FYI: SWN has 24,500 bbls of ethane per day going to the Gulf coast where they are getting $2.37/mmBTU currently. In other words, SWN doesn't sound as if they for one are interested in supplying ethane to a local cracker.

Todd, here's my thoughts...

In the earnings report they said that the decision will be announced by late 2016.

I can see how the current energy situation might make them think awhile longer. But then again, having cheap feedstock (ethane) as well as cheap natural gas for energy production and heat would be a plus to get it built... one would think. 

I also suppose they are figuring how many manufacturers will line up to consume their pellets locally instead of using rail...and at what time line.

SWN ethane:  That ethane has to go somewhere Todd !

I'm still a believer in it being built.

Hi Nancy,

From everything I've heard from reliable folks the project is still a go. Can't go into specifics. Of course the plug could be pulled at anytime I suppose, but I would bet it gets built at some point.

Slide 46 is interesting showing Shell acreage dedication. Of course, I'm liking the overlap of prospectivity in Hancock on subsequent maps.

Let me know what you guys think. What I think is that there is so many billions of dollars of infrastructure coming that the Shell cracker would be just icing on the upcoming cake from a mineral owner's perspective. Of course, the best thing about the cracker would be what it does for the local economy in general.

One thing I was told is that route 18 will be closed in that area sometime in August for a day or two. Maybe building the bridge over 18 for the trucks or power line work???

Yesterday afternoon on the way down 18 I saw there were alot of vehicles parked on the site and across the road dirt was being moved. Like I said on the way back after midnight they were still at it.
Craig,I saw what appeared to be bridge foundation work. Was wondering about that.
Nancy,keep the faith! Things appear to still be moving forward.

Did you drive past the Shell cracker site or some other cracker site on Rt 18 in Monaca?!? :-)

Just kidding!! Lol

By the way, The Royal Dutch need us more than we need them. Believe that and I'll tell you another one! ;-)

Last week there was blasting going on around the site blasting signs were on rt 376 and we were able to hear the blasting at the house.
