Mainesburg Drilling Rig

 Does anyone Know If Shell is Drilling a Utica well. There?  IT is a large rig, looks brand new..

It is a Marcellus well.

Page 2 of the plat you posted says Utica, you sure its Marcellus?

Good catch.You are right it is the Utica. Just looked a the permit for a well that SWEPI is drilling near Wellsboro and it is same depth with Utica target. Interesting!

Looks like they are going to drill a pilot hole into the Trenton and then plug back and drill a lateral in the Utica/Point Pleasant formation.
