Has Eclipse done this with you Anne ?

Have you been happy with how they have paid you your royalties ?

I wonder if it is being done to people with leases not as landowner friendly as others, you would think they would do it to everybody.

The only people who are being deducted are ones that did not have gross at the wellhead, no deductions in their leases. Eclipse did not take out anything on leases that they could have during the good oil price times and now that oil is down, they audited all the unit members leases and are going back to get what they were able to do in the first place. Eclipse has been fair with me, usually paying me several days ahead of due date. They are in good enough shape financially at these gas prices to continue operating for 2 more years or so. If prices stay here or lower, all bets are off. They are spudding what they call the "Purple Hayes"unit January 15 and it will be a 20,000 ft lateral. It goes north off the Hayes pad. The company expects it to be a game changer for them and landowners. A new cost efficient model for well units. Info from Long time eclipse employee who has always been straight with me. If you did not get a letter from Jim Smith explaining all this, you are not going to have anything deducted. If you have deductions, and did not receive a letter or have a lease with no deductions, call him in college station pa.
Ok Anne, you and others are able to share their experiences and when I do I am somehow Disrepectful? I believe I am doing what you suggested, which is educating people, ie call Jim at headquarters if you believe you're being deducted when your lease says no deductions. You are passing along info from someone you know who says they have been wronged. Did you read their lease? Are you an oil and gas attorney? Anyway, I also passed along other info I felt would be of use to the forum, but from now on I think I'll let you and others educate each other. Sorry I took the time to share my insight. Ps, eclipse had an independent auditor look over the leases. I am sure there can be mistakes which takes me back to the comment to call Jim. This will be my last post. Good Luck
Thank you very much for the info on the "purple Hayes" unit. Got my fingers crossed it comes my in-laws way! Finally a little bit of good news! Please share anything else you know, most of us aren't in a position to "hear" anything and must rely on you good folks to inform us. Thank you again!

Mr. Stoll is correct.  Look up on ODNR's County Engineer's regarding the Purple Hayes unit. Also, Eclipse is currently looking at other well pad sites in Millwood Twp.  They are coming back very soon!

Hi Jan,

I sent you a friend request, I would be in debt to you if you would communicate some things with me concerning royalty statements. I am likely to hire an accountant to verify royalty payments are per lease terms and accurate with production numbers and current market prices but if I can do this for myself I will.

Anyhoo, I looked yesterday on the state website for the Purple Hayes unit but didn't see it, I wonder if you would help me to understand where to find the information ?

Eclipse shares information with me as you have attested in another comment and I would like to share that information but I don't want to anger them by doing so. They did tell me that they have applied for a permit to drill a unit(s) to the east of the McClain that would include the remainder of our property up here on Putney Ridge Rd. They declined any specifics and I didn't press the issue. They did tell me that much of their planning is contingent upon this experimental 20,000' lateral but they said they had not committed to which well it would be drilled from.

If there is information available concerning the Purple Hayes I wonder if there is as well information available concerning the unit I have mentioned.

Thank you for all you share with us, you are most helpful. Feel free to stop and introduce yourself if you wish, I am the guy on Putney and McBurney roads with the big white Suburban.

Do you have any more information on the Purple Hayes site?  The Yost well was permitted last January and runs SE all the way to the Hayes well.  I am part of Yost unit and am curious if the Purple Hayes will incorporate my acreage.  As far as I know, I am still leased with Antero.

Eclipse told me about 3 weeks ago that the 20,000' experimental well site had not been decided on.

He did tell me they desired to do it out here somewhere, our area of Millwood township and probably along or off of Putney.

They would not release any documents as far as what was in the permit application, which would be what you and I are after.

I have seen in the past that the state is incredibly slow in updating their site when permits are approved and I don't know of any other way to verify the information.

Just looking at what is drilled and what is not I would say the Purple Hayes unit will have to run NW through what was formerly the Yost and/or Scott units, although that is pure speculation on my part.

I was told by Eclipse that if this experimental works out well they would be able to drill economically at much lower oil prices.

I wonder if the Yanosik could be a consideration for the long experimental leg ?

ODNR county engineers report. They are modifying the Scott 7H, 5H, 3H, 1H units. I guess we will find out when they put the actual plats up. Anxious to see if they have to modify the Yost units.

If Eclipse comes North off of the Hayes pad I don't see how it wouldn't go through the Scott and the Yost.
