WHAT IS ASCSENT RESOURSES GOING TO DO ABOUT THEIR LEASES IN GUERNSEY COUNTY?

I was just wondering if anyone had info on Ascent Resources. I have a lease that will expire this year. I have yet to hear from anyone. Just wondering if they're trying to find a buyer or will they let the leases expire, or what?

I was thinking the exact same thing but what is the average royalty being paid on an acre of ground at 20%? I know there are a few variables to take into consideration but is anyone telling what their checks are? When we all signed over 4 years ago the price of oil was about 3 times more than it is now, right. Back then the estimate we heard was between 500 and 1000 bucks an acre per month royalty. Is that still an accurate figure?

Seems like everyone clams up when they start getting royalties. I guess it's like telling people what your paychecks from your workplace are. I get it! ,but  why cant people getting royalties say something like, "I' m getting $376. per acre, per month, in a 535 acre unit with one well."  Don't have to say how many acres they have in the unit, And don't have to say what amount the total check is per month.Theres been people posting on here almost daily, then when their royalties start rolling in, Boom! Silence! Never to be heard from again. Maybe they feel like they may get robbed if people think they may have a little $$$?

A lot of people have spoken in here about the amount their getting. I have many times I guess people just don't talk about it that often anymore. I'm averaging 400-500 an acre still

Evan, I know you have thx a mil.  You're a raisin in a bowl of cornflakes.

Ok, that's pretty awesome with the low oil and gas prices of today..... So, if they pay us 1000an acre bonus for one year and drill and get the well in production, and a person has say, 20 acres in a unit at 500 a month per acre that would be 10,000 a month x 12 months = 120,000 per year. That would be more than the signing bonus for the whole 5 year lease agreement. I'd rather have the monthly income.

Here's something to think about. I know of a few wells that have been drilled and are ready to go but there is no pipelines ready nearby so they just sit there. Some have several laterals drilled. These wells have been drilled for 2-5 years.

Yep, that's why it's so important to get these pipelines approved and installed and ready for the gathering lines to tie into them. Too many landowners are holding out way too long, for way too much money. I've heard of some of these guys asking for 100.00  a foot and even more. 50 to 60 a foot would be doable for most landowners who understand the importance these lines to their own bank accounts and those of their family members. Yes you have a change in landscape, and yes that line will be there 'forever' but they can still run live stock, hunt, and grow crops/hay and generally farm that land. They just can't dig or harvest any more timber on the right-of-way. People need not be that greedy.... Just think of the monthly checks injected into our economy and other benefits. There are so many reasons to support the infrastructure for this gas and oil boom... Personally I would love for a pipeline to come across my 22 acres.

Says the man who's never had to deal with a pipeline on his property...

Aubrey was killed in a car crash today. Wonder how that will affect the company?

Latest info on Ascent. Aubrey just drove his car into a bridge and killed himself. Who knows where Ascent will go from here. Chesapeake has been blaming him for their trickery, even cooperating with the feds on charges against him. maybe they will start looking at the company now, insead of just their CEO at the time.

Aubrey M is dead, just found out he died in car crash one day after being indicted for being a crook. CNN reported.
