So I'm reading all these posts and people keep saying, "nut'n I can do, I'll just wait and see".

Does anyone know about the film, The Village?  It was written by someone who came here for school  The story line is that no one should leave or look at the outside world.

I see that here.  people don't seem to understand they can get great info from papers outside the pa area....

people also don't seem to want to prepare.  It's like they are waiting on the weather, but then when things change or the land man is at the door, I'm betting they don't have any idea what to do.

Anyone and everyone that lives in states over Shale Plays, will be affected by legislation and new laws being written, to deal with the growing Shale Gas & Oil Industry.

They should take heed of what is happening in the legislative systems of other states now.  A "wait and see" atitude could end up costing them dearly.

Do all that you can to learn about Shale oil and gas, the industry and what your state is doing to protect you.

Every voice is a spotlight. Every voice does make a difference. Find yours before it and your rights are gone.

Thank god someone else's listening. Someone said it another post , No 1 knew how big this thing was going to be. But just over year ago east resources told us all During a school board meeting Vet thousands and thousands of families are expected. Also, Newspapers In other countries Have predicted what was comeing. I'm not saying someone knows everything Are there is no time to sit and wait. And I'm sorry but this website just don't cut it. Worry about water all you want. What are you prepared for what else is to come? Are you prepared for the transition From poverty to revenue? What will happen when you transfer your property to your children?? Are you able to protect your identity? Are you willing to live in a county with 80,000 more people? When they come to drill a hole these questions are moot. When a come to drill a hole it's too late and you're stuck with whatever decisions you made.

I am trying my very best to stay informed..When I try to stay informed I get "slapped" by people who think I don't want the NG industry to help us..I DO..But in the same breath I want our enviroment to be protected because I am leaving that to my children also. I am a believer in "Jesus" that he made us and this planet for a reason. We can reap what he provided but we also should take care of what he provided ..It is a fine balance. Money and Greed can get us into trouble, Money can save a family from financial ruins..IT IS A BALANCE. I read every day probably at least 1-2 hr.  into the night about Shale/Oil all over the US..I read lawsuits, laws and everything I can get my hands on. My land is leased I live on and now I am looking at doing something big to the next property. I am at a standstill, Seismic coming, own the surface but will eventually own the mineral rights..That will be sooner than the latter. I am seriously considering getting a lawyer to stonewall what might occur or to make sure my Grandmother doesn't get ripped so we can benefit from the best deal possible that will in turn go to her grandchildren my children..So yes Chuck their are people who listen and pay attention. Maybe we just don't put it into writing..It is all rather overwhelming and if you have something to share then share it..If knowledge is to be sought then throw it on the table and let us mull it around. They just might dig a hole in my property out there and honestly I am scared to death and I am doing all I can to learn more about it. So Chuck, Todd help those out who need it..Your voices could be the ones they are looking for. Instead of putting us down Chuck, raise us up with what you know..

Yesterday I read all about Haynesville Shale and other places, today who knows..

not putting anyone down.

I'm saying the water booggie man stories are what the left hand is doing and the right is doing another.  2 hours-thats great   I read-write and live it 24 seven for a living.  I'm no better.... I'm saying there is far more to read and these sites have to say. Most of it seems to be all about water and lease money.

Stop reading the 3rd party stuff from people who dosen't really knwo more than the man to his left and start reading trade publications.   Stop Clogging town meetings with water talks and ask about how many people are come'n  Ask for lists of roads fixed by the gas companies, ask what the school systems will look like.  and on and on.

But asking another person who knows no more than the man on his left is not getting anyone any place.   And shooting at ppl who do know more well... I made my point.
