In a few years when truck and bus companies make the changeover to natural gas engines it will make a big difference in the consumption. Then the move to get more passenger cars in the USA on CNG

I agree that a future source of natural gas use will be trucks and buses.
There are two issues here that are slowing the process.
First: conversion of engines
Second: filling stations.
For example, our school district looked into this and both issues caused conversion of buses not to be economically viable.
Once again, as I have stated before, government needs to subsidize these types of projects. Not wind solar etc.
