Dick,

Are you suggesting we never speak of this? You sound like the liberals who wish to re-write our history in order to manipulate it.

You would be surprised who has already has forgotten or those who were to young to remember.

Should we also not take time to remember Pearl Harbor?

I recall Pearl Harbor quite vividly  I was only 7 years old When my father got an urgent call to report for work. He worked for the telephone company in Geneva New York. His workplace was where all  phone calls were routed between the Sampson Naval Base and other important military installations at the time. Dad was a trouble shooter and he kept the office equipment operating. Mechanical relay switches that directed the incoming calls to their destination were used back then. Burned contacts and sticking relays had to be fixed constantly. I recall hearing the constant clicking and clacking as these relays were operating. Dad was put on overnights so us kids did not see much of him during these war years. Dad's words as he went out the door were , "Gotta go to work. Don't know when I will be back."

I also recall watching the NBC news as the news crew was watching the first tower burning and then wondering if it was an accident?  Their answer came minutes later when another plane  came in to drive its way into the other tower. Needless to say I watched news reports constantly as they came in.

Bill L.

william,

God bless all of those people who stood up to tyranny, including your father.

My father served, although I had not yet been born.

We must always stand up to tyranny and to recognize it's face, generation after generation.

In order for each generation to recognize tyranny is to memorialize events from the past and the efforts against it from the past.

9/11 is such an event.

The tyranny we face today is extreme, radical islamists (not Muslims). Just as in the day of your father and mine, the tyranny they faced was from Japan, Germany and Italy.

Tyranny never goes away, it sits and waits for it's next opportunity. We must always be vigilant, we must always remember.

AMEN Barry GOD BLESS all that died that day and all that fight for our Freedom and if Dick don't like it He can KISS MY ROYAL IRISH ASS ON THE BROWN SPOT I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN in these UNITED STATES Dick is probably a Muslim

I don't think Richard Cranium is his real name, Dick Head for short.... But he does sound like a liberal to me....
