Informative dinner courtesy of Travis Peake

Lu Ann and I have just come back from attending an informal dinner put on by Representives of Travis Peak. 

We had a very delicious chicken dinner at the Sabinsville Firehall.

Lu Ann and I met with one of the Travis Peak's CEO's from Texas And had a short conversation with him. Jack Cochran, a manager from Travis Peak brought him over to our table and we shook hands. Seems to be a very nice fellow. He then turned us over to Jack Cochran.

Jack answered a few questions and then went to claim his  own serving of Chicken.  But then he came back and ask if we minded him eating with us. Of course we were delighted as there were many other seats where he could have sat down in  any of the other tables.

My nephew Ed sat with Lu Ann and me and we talked about several things including a little bit of the history of the area with Jack and my own feelings about the drastic changes taking place on the Ladd property in the last few months. The area where the Painter well site is located has a bit of  interesting history in itself.

A couple of issues came up. One of them has been solved. Jack promised me that the others will be looked into.

We both were thankful that the weather was cooperative as far as heavy rain and washing of the steep pipeline "Right of Way" not being a problem.

All in all Lu Ann, I, and my nephew Ed came away from this informal meeting with a good feeling of what the future holds for the area.

All I said was, My wife and I had a pretty good chicken dinner, courtesy of Travis Peak..

And that statement has somehow created a huge amount of gas among several members and probably has sent many of them to their medicine cabinet looking for GAS relief medication!

Folks see you as a Judas goat.

Most are surprised at how cheaply you were bought: a chicken dinner.

Some see you as akin to the high school girl who will sleep with the Football Team is she is taken to McDonalds for a Happy Meal.

Work on your self image.

Know thyself.

Heal thyself.

Its a good gesture by the gas company to give people a meal and answer there questions.

I'm wondering when certain rubes will stop trying to gag the discussion with vague/manufactured/smarmy references to propriety.

Knock off the School Marm shtick.

Many find your apologist posts in defense of the Shalers nauseating.

With what you do, you shouldn't be judging anybody.

Hi Billy Jack. All Paul needs is to stand in front of a mirror for an hour or so and contemplate what he sees there. If he has the guts to look deeply into the eyes of his reflection as another person would do to the real Paul,  then Paul might really understand what kind of person he really is.

He slowly  realizes that he is getting his chain twisted and shortened like an excited dog seeing a strange cat in his yard. One day he might learn that he must turn the other direction to un twist his chain or choke himself.

Had I stayed home that late afternoon Paul, likely I would have ate a peanut butter sandwich and a cookie.

Obviously Paul, you know little about life!  And even less about things that bring a happy, contented life.

The pleasure you get out of life comes from trying to control what other people will do. And if you cant do that, then you try to make them feel like they are stupid and worthless!

And why do you want to know how many pieces of silver was given to me?  OH WAIT, I bet I know.  Someone managed to snucker you out of a few pieces of silver and now you are crying your eyes out!.

Well then Paul, best that you not be finding fault with an enjoyable chicken dinner no matter who puts it on or what the occasion was.   Not everyone is as stupid and ignorant as you seem to portray them to be.

     Have you ever considered joining together to go after those who are short changing US Citizens?

I do believe this is Landowners vs Producers and I could use your help getting the word out.
