Does a Marcellus well's laterals use the same vertical casing to the well head? You really cant tell by a video.

Permalink Reply by Bullfrex on February 19, 2018 at 2:29am That is correct. Each well will have it's own vertical component, with a presence at the surface to allow for completion of each well individually.
It is an engineering marvel, with all the surface wellbore locations on a pad generally less than 50' apart, yet the horizontal leg of the wells will be spaced some 600-1000' apart at the target formation depth.
