Learn about all of the latest updates to the US Army Corps of Engineers Hydric Soil Indicators in a virtual classroom and field workshop setting.   This webinar will cover the three basic soil types which are the All Soils (Type A), Sandy Soils (Type S) and Loamy Soils (Type F).  We will present the most common indicator types found in wetlands.  Learn about the how the presence of an aquic moisture regime affects iron, manganese, sulfur and carbon and how these translate into indicators. We will also discuss how soil texture impacts the analysis of the Corps indicators. We will also present how excess carbon is a special type of hydric soil indicator.

We will take you on a virtual field trip for several of these indicators types and show you actual hydric soil features in the field.  This virtual field trip is recorded in high definition video and presents detailed visualizations of some of the most common soil indicator types.
