Does anybody on this site still believe the EPA is not undermining the oil and gas industry? To finally conclude this premise, click on this link for more EPA corruption:

God bless these republican senators for exposing the EPA. Let us hope they deliver some reforms to this government outfit.

Thanks for listening.

Mike.

i dont think anyone with an average level of discernment could reasonably think that the current administration has any fondness or feelings of support for our traditional (and reliable) energy industries.

the current attack on oil and natural gas producers by attempting to deny them (and us) the depletion allowance, while simultaneously throwing away hundreds of billions in an attempt to fast track the ridiculous notion that we can derive our energy needs from the sun and wind is on its' face bold hypocrisy.

but...i fear this is only the beginning of the war on energy.

Call up your local republican congressman and demand no new taxes for the liberals in Washington who our bankrupting our kids future.

Dave, That was an interesting article. Thanks for posting it.

I can't help but feel bad for the State of WV after mapping all of their coal seams with hopes of raking in Real Estate taxes for landowners that have coal that is not being mined. There is a multiplication factor used to increase the tax the closer the landowner gets to production. With anti coal in Washington plus now shale gas, WV has wasted their money if they apply the multiplication factor for coal never being mined on a property. Of course they will probably manipulate the multiplication factor to get the money they need.

Taxing people for coal where God left it is a bad idea to start with. It should catch on in all the states when they figure out they are missing out on millions of dollars of revenue that WV is taking in. The numbers for each county are huge. I would think WV would be one of the richest states in the union if they could unload the 36% of thier population that is being carried by the state.
