Janice:
Live in NorthWest Pa, Butler County, fringe of where interstate 80 runs. Marcellus Shale looks good for this area, will have to check on Utica.
My sister lives in Titusville, and we visit Drake's well and are every year. Great place and a lot of history.
Had a Gas Lease workshop today, lasted 2 1/2 hours. Two attorneys close to the Marcellus activity, in fact, right in the heart of the Marcellus activity in Washington county.
Very, very informative and interesting. The 2 1/2 hours seemed like only one hour.
Seems like the more you find out, the more you realize you dont know.
Definitely need an attorney when dealing with the Gas contract. Many areas to cover, to cover your !!!.
In fact, next Wednesday, there is also another meeting locally pertaining to the Marcellus Shale. Pertaining to the local boro/twps.
Check geology.com to see where the shale is thickest. The Penn State web site has a map that shows which counties are most likely to be most productive etc.
