HB 537 - An Intrusive & Obstructionist Bill Being Discussed In The Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee

Who defines what an 'Urbanized Area' and / or anything else the Ohio Division of Natural Resources concerns itself with is; in the context of proximity to new Gas & Oil wells  ?

Is this determination made solely by the Ohio Division of Natural Resources ?

Or is it determined by the ODNR after consulting with local governmental entities (like a Council / Grange / Board of Trustees / etc.) ?

Can the ODNR determination be over-ridden by a local governmental entity (should the local governmental entity consider the proposed well site as falling within a 'Rural Area') ?

Is this Pro-Active or is it Obstructionist ?

Please discuss.

Have you heard anything about what Buckeye Mineral's position is on all of this ?

Are they aware of the Bill(s) ?

Didn't like what I saw.

Down with UN Agenda 21.

Up with the USA.

Need to can all UN Agenda 21  'comrades' from government leadership positions and need to not elect any new ones.

This bill is totally obstructionist.  Its sponsor Bob Hagan despises the oil and gas industry.  He's been on Youngstown TV stations (anything to get his face there) totally twisting the facts on safety for months.  More than once he has deliberately tied the earthquakes in Yo to drilling and fracing even though he knows they were proved to be from one injection well.  The setback alone would leave thousands of landowners without the chance of being in a unit.  If each town, township, city and county is allowed to add regulations to the state's the layers would be so deep oil and gas companies could find it impossible to do business in here.  We all need to contact our representatives and come out against this bill.

The setback change would definitely be A SETBACK!  Cant understand the reasoning behind that part of the bill.

If the State wants some of our Landowner Mineral Rights have them pay us for them.

How about $50,000.00 per acre U.S. ?
