I have been hearing of companys offering $12000, $13000 even $15000/ acre to buy mineral rights. So far I haven't been able to find out who is making these offers. If you've received an offer in this range could you please tell me who made it? Thanks.

Just last November in response to a question from an analyst about Halcon Resources’ plans for the Utica, CEO Floyd Wilson said, “Well, we won’t drill any more wells near the shitty ones we drilled already. That’s one major initiative.”
Hmmm another "Drilling Company" not going to pay anyone else a royalty.... Soooo what are YOUR mineral rights worth... ? We all need a PARTNER in the Play..

Permalink Reply by The Hiker on April 2, 2014 at 1:39am "High offer to Buy Minerals" Thread........Not an April Fools joke, but $15,000 is the going offer in my township in NE Noble. Some of the older folks are starting to consider selling a piece at this price, but then it just keeps climbing. Best to wait a bit longer....
Permalink Reply by Greg Hamilton on April 2, 2014 at 2:19am Great!! who made this offer, Hiker?
Permalink Reply by bo boboski on April 5, 2014 at 7:07am I'm seeing more and more people who,a year ago, said they would never sell their mineral rights, are now have either have sold or are considering selling them,or a % of them. I feel this is EXACTLY what the O&G co.s have been hoping for. While they drag their feet ,or wait on the pipelines& processing plants to get done, spread rumors about the Utica shale not living up to hype. People are starting to wonder if they will ever get drilled,or even get their present lease renewed? "might as well sell em". I'm thinking, better wait!
Permalink Reply by evan on April 5, 2014 at 7:20am Possibly Bo but there are so MANY variables I totally agree about some people not selling but you have to look at the driller , unit , possible chances to buy more land tax free ( for awhile), ,New taxes that are and continue to be assessed. Anyways you get the hint and I'm sure you know all about it bo. Arminius friend me on here and I ll tell you all about it and get you a contact if you want to talk to them

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
