We own property on Maple Rd near Jewett and are currently under survey for a pipeline that as I understand will run from the new plant in Scio. to Delaware. The stakes look like they are paralleling the powerline ROW. Any rule of thumb of things to look for or $$ numbers as this thing unfolds. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have read some other threads and it seems to be all over the place. Any thoughts on an attorney in the area or does it matter. We live in Canton.
Greg:
I live north of you and we used Matt Warnock (614-227-2388) to negotiate our ROW with Mark West. The agreement he construed was excellent along with compensation. Best of luck and I highly recommend an attorney in this process.
Thanks for the input. A friend of mine owns property in Monroe county and said the price offered for 2200 feet was $50 per ft plus timber. He said they really did not negotiate at all other than timber prices.
Greg, Is this the Bluegrass line going in on your property? And how big is this line you speak of (diameter of pipe)? I'm also up in Canton, and have been trying to keep 'up' with the 'improvements' in Harrison county.
I don't know the company or the size of pipe yet. I just talked to the landman today and he said they will be back with us in 20-30 days.
Oh ok, I was thinking the Bluegrass line was heading up that way.
Greg:
Make sure that your agreement is not for multiple pipelines at that price. Every time they add a pipe to the ROW, you should be compensated.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
