Over the weekend (Nov 18-19) there was a major oil/gas industry conference held by Ohio State at the Wexner Center. I was able to be invited and attended the seminar and gahtered much information. Overall, I would say about three hundred attended, including a board of four members lead by OGEEP President, Clean Harbors President, Head of Petroleum at Marietta College and the President of Ohio State's newly created SubSurface Energy Program.  Members of the crowd were introduced and I would say about 15-18 were Vice Presidents of Operations, or Project Managers at major corporations such as Chesapeake, Enervest, Halliburton, Ananardko, Shell etc.  The major story developing from this conference was the constant intrusion of protestors, chanting, banging on walls, doors, yelling during speeches and presentations.  Does anyone else have insight on this?  I see a large opposition to drilling, oil/gas explorations, developing especially in the OHIO,WV area since we have not entered the big stages yet.  As this site has developed I have seen growing information and knowledge being spread.  With that being said, use this knowledge and information of FACTS to help inform those protestors who have no useful data or facts to confront with.  These protests yell and place blame, when they have no evidence.  I think this site is very important for everyone to stick together because I feel we are in for a growing fight.  Any other insight is very welcome.  Also if anyone else was in attendance how did u handle the protestors, cameras, reporters etc?
