Probably not, its the federal government what do you expect?

you didn't hear?obama stopped any drilling there. some say because of gov kasich's anti government union bill. that was last year.

Gale, still no Dale Carnegie interest?  Who plows the roads in the winter when you want to go to the mall?

PS It's "come", not "came".

And it's the "RNC", Not the "DNC".

Who's the wack job here?

LOL

Not "your" in a civil service protected job.

It's "you're".

How about a course in english?

LOL

gale, you are preaching to the choir.

ah, thats funny.

There are over 12,000 members here at this forum....is this the best we can do to share what Brent barclay is asking for an update of an area that had been on moratorium or interruption since november 2011?

come on folks, this isn't your usual website for just playing around...we are all trying to learn about the process of the leasing and knowledge of all involved in the natural gas, oil, and minerals at this site...let's share then not just jest with one another.   A good laugh is good when pleasantly applied in blog.....but let's focus on what the discussion is about.  thanks

now this is the only recent article I can find....but some of you may be able to add to this:

http://beta.wosu.org/news/2011/11/15/gas-drilling-in-wayne-national...   I think Brent is trying to find out if anyone knows what other news has happened since...

I have driven a lot of country roads including Wayne National Forest.  Some of the old wells and tanks, including Wayne Forest, leaked that I could not stand the smell.   These new wells and/or drilling companies are so much cleaner.  It's nuts that they are preventing drilling there.  What happened to having them do it right and hold them accountable.  Is the problem that the Feds can't get the money from drilling?  Or did they just realize there is allready some spills there?  Anybody know?

the feds stopped the drilling because of john kasich's conservative policies. it was nothing more than blatant political payback by the arrogant obama regime. get ready for more of the same and worse the closer to election we get.  we are dealing with leftist hardball players who despise american exceptionalism.

I said this once before, Obama went over there and pulled his Chicago thug routine with Kasich, Kasich would not put up with his Crap, this was the response from Obama.

Not unusual, he still thinks Ohio is in the bag no matter what he does.

Thanks VG - you are right on ! Just seeking some updated info as my group owns the mineral rights on acreage in Perry Twp., Monroe County situated on the WNF.

I think the moratorium is on the Fed. Gov. not leasing the property they have the rights to.  I don't think it will effect mineral rights owners from leasing except to the point a company may just not want to deal with government as the land owner.  Then again it is the government and the law of the land does not seem to apply to them.
