I  would think apples to apples comparison would have compare the production output based on area of the lateral...( area being drained) on a sq ft basis. Longer laterals mean more area.

Of course we are all just specutating.....there are other vaviables that we can't possibly know....is the well wide open, has it been comepletley fraced ( all stages), is it an experimental process.....the list goes on.

I know we all want to crown our home County as the "Sweet Spot".....lets just be happy that we are even having this type of discussion.....and all gree that  as always......Ohio is the "heart of it all" and is THE SWEET SPOT!

Correct me if i am wrong, but aren't HVHF wells (on average) about 130 acres each? The well pad size is what makes the total number vary?

Mrytle, yes the bottom line is lateral length. Just want to make sure everyone is considering that when comparing. No testiness here, I hope the best for everyone. Just like Paul said, this is a win win for Ohio!! I hope the Wagner well is twice as good as what they are even saying now! Go Utica!

1. Condensates are not valued as oil. This table from Rosetta Resouces gives an idea of the relative values of of the different kinds of condensates that are in the wet gas:

2. Explanation is discussed here.

It would be nice if they were consistent in their reporting.  On a basis of raw production numbers divided by foot of lateral, I still see Buell as the leader.

Dan,

I'm confused about the definition of "condensates" also. Typically, the components you list above are part of NGL's, which the E&P's list separate from "condensates".

Can anyone shed additional light on this?
