Latest dep email to me today is showing CHK wells in Beaver County inactive status.
Could this be the sell off to HilCorp or other companies?

I can tell you this:
Last fall I ran into a supervisor with the seismic crew doing work here right across the county line in New Beaver, Lawrence County. When I asked him if they were finding anything good his eyes widened and he responded with a southern drawl and big old grin"You folks are sitting on LOTS OF STUFF, YOU GOT IT ALL!"
Make what you wish of it, but I am excited about our prospects!

I could not help but notice the sizable ( staging area ?) operation going on beside the industry post office .Looks to me like a postive indication of continued pipeline work in our area to me . Plus i noticed on the beaver county recorder of deeds website that very recently CHK has filed a some kind of surface use non coal mining amendment to the property behind the willows . Not sure at all what that means to me but shows further activity around here?

they are at friendship ridge with the gasline coming from industy.  anybody have an idea where it is going?

you can follow the large pipeline crossing the river on recorder of deeds -- mansell property is first one in industry ( by lock six) the rows are filed under a different company name for the larger line than the gathering lines - I believe it heads west almost to pine grove then north through the old dump (brunner property ) then north towards jenkins well .There are maps for each row agreement but I dont know where the map of the whole line is.

@industry resident - I own the property behind the Willows Inn but I could not find any amendments.  Do you have any links to the amendment?

Sorry cant paste a link -search beaver county recorder of deeds website page 62 -- I check it often and just choose --all --and industry - Not sure but i reread the information sounds to me like an Iron ore mine exploration? Bencic energy --lease and amendments with owner of the willows -- thinking maybe you own the property on the other side of the creek -- only 17 acres involved in this agreement  -- who knows maybe your sitting next to a pot of iron? hope you own the rights to metals

Are these wells Utica or Marcellus?

CHK could be using their resting period (inactive) method for these wells. I believe they sometimes use up to 1 year.

If Beaver Co. wells are all inactive, they have added or about to add 2 more wells to the list. One is on Cannelton Rd. and the other is across the creek in South Beaver Twp. The first is way up on a hill and going to have rig delivered in a couple weeks. It's on the right hand side going from Rt. 51 towards Cannelton on state game land.

I knew that CHK would be bringing in a rig in the next month or two because they seldom build a new pad without drilling it fairly soon. They are most likely drilling those two new pads because there are leases running out in those areas.

Besides those two pads they have over 30 permits approved to drill more wells in Beaver County, mostly on pads that already have one well drilled.

What we really need as landowners is to start putting gathering lines in the ground and get some of this gas moving.

Makes me wonder how can the cost of non producing wells be absorbed and more non producers continue to be drilled? Lot's of money being tied up for quite a while in limbo. How long can this continue  , or is it really costing 6 million per well? Or are the wells that are selling gas , doing much better than reported?

I happened to speak to a rep from CHK regarding these subjects and a few others.  From what he said ( take with a grain of salt perhaps but he was under no pressure to advise otherwise ), the wells may be relegated to inactive status but will go back to active once the gathering lines are in etc.  And his timeline for a gathering line to rolling acres and the maga well in south beaver/Chippewa is Dec 15th.

That was for gas being able to flow not just being tapped into those wells.  He said of course things can and have changed but that is the timetable we have now.

So in 6 to 8 months should see if some of these things come to pass.

CHK  built a pad 13 months ago and have not drilled on it yet so don't think that a pad means a well soon .......pad is in ohio in the utica sweet spot carroll county
