I signed a lease with Shell in 2011 and then AEP bought out Shell. I read all of the discussions listed, daily, but NEVER see any questions or statements written about AEP(Aubrey) or if or when they might drill or are drilling. Does anyone know if AEP is connected with another company , and that company is talked about and I am not realizing they are talking about AEP(Aubrey?) Is this why I never see AEP or Aubrey(is this the owner's name?) mentioned about anything? AEP still exists, doesn't it? Is anyone out there leased with AEP??--------Feel like I'm in the dark!

they are drilling in Harrison county now...........they have pulled permits at a few sites in harrison and a few sites in guernsey...........mostly red hill hbp areas i think.

I am leased with AEP and I know how you feel.  It's like we have been left hanging. We are definitely "in the dark". I guess AEP still exists.  Aubrey was supposed to be building a headquarters in Cambridge. Only a little drilling as far as I know. Is it possible that all the other companies will suck out the gas and oil from under us while we wait LOL?

Thanks Phillip for all the links. I guess we, that are hooked up with AEP, will just have to take a deep breath and wait! Aubrey sounds like he knows what he's doing and is a pretty good business man! Maybe the saying will apply to the AEP lessors--------saving the best for last ! Here's hoping!

I'm sure he is a "pretty good business man"  and also a snake.

A rep. was in Noble County about 2 months ago. He was wanting myself and neighbors to sign and take our leases from 640 to 1280. Don't think anybody signed, I didn't. He said that if we didn't, we wouldn't get in a unit. I told him that I found it hard to believe, having a good idea how much Aubrey paid for the lease to acquire it from Enervest, that they would just let all that O & G sit there. He didn't like what I had to say. I don't think anyone has heard from him since. Most of my neighbors are HBP. I had got an atty. and was going to sue Enervest because of a line in my lease, but we settled our of court and re-wrote the lease. Not the best terms, but did get them above the old 12 1/2 percent, and no surface clause on the land that has been in my family for almost 200 years. That was more important to me than anything. Now AEP bought the lease and have to deal with the new one.

We also were with Shell and bought out by AEP. We live on Oxford Rd and a few months ago talked to the guys that were surveying across the road. They told us that AEP was putting a well in the field and another down the road about half a mile. The stakes are all over the field, but no sign of anything else. That would be J Bar J. We also had an extensive water test done and received the results a few weeks ago. Other than what those guys told us we are also in the dark.
Which side of Oxford do you live on and where's this field. I'm close to there
We are about 2 1/2 miles on the east side of 513. About a mile or so east of the Karen well and the Yockey well. The field would be on your right going towards Fairview. You will see all the stakes.

Is this the well?

I see that it says county road 49 and 962 which is Oxford Rd. Also the field is in section 12 so I'm guessing this is probably it.
