Mickey, that has been my experience on occassion also with the postal service. Very inefficiently run. Now, they want to take on more junk mail to increase their profits. I plan on writing return to sender on all I receive. Hope things work out as I'm sure they will, keep the faith.

It was signed for this morning at 8:10 AM, Oh to KY to MI to KY back to OH,,,,,, I can only shake my head,

This is the United Parcel Service .. UPS correct?

I've never seen tracking like this from the United State Postal Service .. USPS

This is why I use Fedex Overnight Letter if it has to be there

I've had this happen before, Fedex, UPS, USPS. It made it there today, 8:10AM. I received a call from the law firm about 45 minutes ago that it was received and land , albeit late, was accepted by the O&G company and I'm in Group 5. Now to sit back and wait to see when the actual signing date is. Then sit back and wait for the O&G company to verify the deed and accept the land. Then sit back and wait for the check to be cut, then sit back and wait for the IRS to claim it's share ! 

 

I have to say to date that KWGD and Nathan Vaughn et al have been nothing short of excellent in their timely responses to my never ending questions. I would recommend them to anyone still looking to lease. 

Good thing I have a comfortable chair !! ;)  Best wishes to all,

First off... Congrats & welcome into the group.  Glad to hear that the O&G co. accepted your acreage!

 

The actual lease signing for the Guernsey Co. section of the group is tomorrow (Oct. 22) from 8am - 7pm at Salt Fork Lodge.  I believe they said that anyone that could make this date should, but if for some reason any members couldn't make it, they would need to contact them to set something up to sign the actual lease.  I am not sure how this applies to later additions to the group though...

Really glad to be a part of this. We got the second call on our way in from Cleveland, called the County Recorder to ask about a copy of the deed, they stayed open for us and a few others that came after us to make our day a little easier, copies ready and waiting. 

Follow up email waiting when we got in. Seems like a dream,, being from Cuyahoga County, I'm not used to this kind of service and folks getting along.  Somebody pinch me,,,

Mickey,

I am sure that so many of us from around here take our "small town hospitality" for granted.  It is nice to hear someone from out of town remind us of what we actually have here.  I will be in that mess to sign my lease tomorrow as well (planning on getting there around 8 or 8:30 & maybe grabbing breakfast at the lodge to allow some of the crowd to disperse), so if you happen to recognize me from my pic on here, please say hello.

When we purchased our first 5 acres, we named it "Crash & Burn Resurrection Ranch" , people do things on a hand shake, and I have yet to be burned by it. As with all places, you have the good and the bad, I have dealt with it all. But I have to say my experiences here have given me a new lease on humanity in a way.

At least we got free coffee and donuts ! Have to wait as lease papers have to be drawn up. All in all painless but my assumption of the word "bonus" was that over and above whatever was normally received in a agreement. The bonus being paid for all 5 years upfront . Boy do I have a lot to learn !
