The outcome of the frac will be greatly anticipated and will affect the
importance of Wayne County's Utica potential.
Someone noted my previous link posting is dead/wrong (again)

Hello (again) Finnbear,
Thanks for alerting me to my errant post.
Here is the fixed post for the benefit of Wayne County group:
33 landowners sue over oil, gas leases signed before fracking boom
Any questions? Will be a test tomorrow!
For other questions, email me at Doulittle@gmail.com
I'm curious as to why they would wait until summer? Are they waiting to get a group of wells drilled and then do all the frack jobs in succession like they seem to be doing with the drilling? Possibly there is some financial benefit to fracking one well and immediately moving that crew and equipment to the next and so on? Are they recycling frack water from one site to use at the next?
I was made aware of a recent conversation a friend had with Rep. Dave Hall of Ashland (on Feb. 24th), regarding the status of the Devon well in Clear Creek. I am sure your aware of how oil shows in core samplings when exposed to ultraviolet light. The representative indicated he had been allowed to view the core samples from the Ashland well. The light revealed almost all of the sample he viewed as very rich in oil. I have seen examples of this as shown to me by Lario, and my friend believes (he's big on faith) we are sitting on a very large area in Eastern Ashland, Western Wayne. I do not think it is appropriate to try and quote the Rep. as I did not hear what he had to say, but his opinion as it was stated, was extremely positive for our area. I am going to call him and find out for myself what he knows.
Lario is "presently not interested" in our acerage as they have "narrowed their "I area" (area of interest) and while we are in Plain Twp. north of that area, their primary interest appears more south and west. They stated they would get in touch, we're pretty sure that doesn't mean the "check's in the mail".
Who was Rice's deal with that went bad in Belmont?
I am only aware of its leasing in Ashland County. But MFC made us an offer for one of our leases in Plain Twp., Wayne County, but it was for just over 100 per acre. The offer has never been rejected, but we are talking to some great guys at Lario Oil and Gas out of Wichita, Kansas, for the same acreage, and they are much more reasonable in the numbers they have referred to as a potential offer.
I heard that Rice Energy may be getting ready to permit a location in southeastern Wayne County.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
