What township(s) of Wayne County is MFC working together with Devon on?
MFC appears to be working with Devon, and paid 500.00 per acre to my brother up front with royalty of 17%. Lario believes the bigger oil play and possibly wet gas runs much further West in the Pt. Pleasant below the Utica, which is contrary to the general understanding by novices like me. However, I have been reading that much of the larger wells that are producing are spitting dry gas.
Rumor is that Devon has completed the vertical portion of their well in Ashland and now is starting on the horizontal phase. One would assume
that they liked what they found.
Thanks
Either the Devon Ashland well (rig in place since Jan 13th) or the Devon Lodi well pad (Richman Rd) where they started moving dirt last week.
This morning I saw 4-5 Cudd Energry Services trucks parked at the weigh station on 76/224 just east of Seville. I looked them up and they are definitely part of the oil/gas drilling operations. I wonder which well site they were headed to?
The Avalanche acreage (about 3600 ac in Wayne) is for sale via a company in Houston TX and is still available as of this afternoon when I spoke with them. It is very scattered across the county and is combined with about 3600 more acres even more scattered out across Holmes, Medina, and Summit Counties. I don't look for it to sell until someone else leases a bunch of ground in the area and needs some of it to finish some drilling units out.
Wellington Resource Group has their Wayne County leases listed for sale
through EnergyNet. Does anyone know if Avalanche Energy was able to
get their acreage sold?
I am also a fan...and member of the Mohican Basin Landowners group. Very dedicated and hard working leadership over these many months but membership drive is closing Dec 1st. Last I've heard is that well over 1,000 have joined and over 100,000 acres. The final tally should be interesting as all this has happened since Feb 2011.

You'd probably do well to contact the Mohican Basin Landowners group. They are very active in your part of Wayne County.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
