My Brother just got a call from a man who wanted to know if he could park his truck on our Prop. in Springhill TWP PA to scope for the Franklin Denny pad heading south. As of now nothing done at the…Continue
"Went to Toby’s Bentleyville Town Hall/Landowner meeting last night and felt like we’d come home, again, after a year of working with EQT. As Rice Energy landowners from the beginning, the disconnect with EQT was disconcerting and even…"
"I am very pleased to see that Toby is back in charge. I am in the Ohio group and before the change in ownership, Rice had numerous fairly regular meetings with the landowners. We felt that we at least had a clue as to what was happening. I am glad…"
"You didn't miss much. Lasted an hour. Toby talked about his start in the gas industry...selling to eqt…and his commitment to treating landowners fair. Answered a few questions from the crowed and that was it."
"yes sir The Rome Trough is a play that the buyers don't want u to know about Its going to be a while before any one drills it as the upper play's are still hot. I seen a map of it posted by The Iron Farmer on this site yrs ago. "
"yes I never understood why EQT didn't do any thing with the buy out on sites that had all the pads and roads in place and yes I understand that the O&G CO. HAVE TO DRILL AT A RESPONSIBLE pace to keep prices high enough to make money but…"
Jeff, my parcels are in Jackson and Center township. If I hear of anything going on I will let you know. If you can Google the townships that your parcels are in, you can usually find a township supervisors name and phone number. They have been very helpful and will let you know what activity is going on. If I hear of anything I will let you know. I wish all of us on this site could arrange a time and place to meet in Greene county. It would be nice to meet each other and exchange contact information and I think it would bolster our concerns to know that we are all solidified in seeing our hopes come to fruition. We got an invite last year on Labor daywith Rice. Some kind of fair. Would be nice if the Rome trough group could meet this year. Its about a six hour drive for me but if enough people from our group showed up, I would show up. am leased for 64 acres with Rice, with an addional 111 acres held by CNX. That parcel has a hammerhead well that has been there since my greatgrandfather owned it. CNX is vague about who has been getting the royalties from it. I dont trust them, and wonder if we are owed back royalties on that. My attorney who was handling the investigation of that is opening his own practice and will not be involving himself with oil and gas. I am currently looking for a new attorney/landsman who can do the work.
My land borders McNicholas to the south and is adjacent to garrisons (just to the west) on knob run road. And I am leased to Rice , had no problems with them. I think they will be a big improvement over Chesapeake. Hopefully they will form another unit to the west of yours that will include my acreage. I'm assuming you are in the McNicholas unit.... I thought I read that somewhere.
My family owns a lot of mineral rights in Greene county. Would like to connect with you and see what you know about what is going on in the area. We leased with chesapeake a few years ago, and I am starting into a long litigation over the leases. Just wanted to connect. Let me know.
What makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen.[ Read More ]
