This is a good interview & good information about a local western PA business that is helping defuse the negative information about the effects of Marcellus Shale drilling & fracking.
Garrett S. Hoge RFC, CFP, MS
Business Profile: Comtech Industries, Inc. by Ed Becker
One of the hottest topics to emerge from the Marcellus Shale industry is what to do with the frack water that comes from drilling. It presents environmental challenges to the drilling company, concerns for landowners, and demands on state regulators. Dean Grose owns and operates Comtech Industries, Inc. based in Washington, PA and operating at numerous sites throughout Northeast Pennsylvania. His business is about recycling the frack water so companies can re-use it. In the following interview, Grose discusses why hydro-recycling is so critical to the gas drilling process and why his company offers at least one major advantage over other hydro recycling companies. He also shares his ideas on how the state can help, not hinder natural gas extraction.

I've read about this company before...Good read, everyone should print it out and pass it out to the antifrackers.
Thanks for posting.
Garret and all others that don't know:
For future reference, when posting a link to another place use the LINK button in the tool bar. It will bring up a window that you can paste the link into then click ok..... which will format it properly for use, especially when the link is longer. Notice when you paste the link directly into your message or reply (as Garrett did above) that it normally gets truncated (ie ..........) which won't link you to anywhere : )
Now look at my post of the link....a complete web address.
At least that's the way it has worked for me.

But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
