Drill baby drill!!! I just hope the politicians don't screw this one up.
Those are some huge numbers, things are going to explode now.
How do these numbers translate into landowner royalties for those of us in the wet zone?

Lots of $$$$$$$

That's $270K a day gross at $90 a barrel

in a 640 acre unit that you have 50 acres in at 15%....that be   $3164 a day

OR... 100 acres in a 640 acre unit at 18% gross royality = $7593/day in royalites to the landowner on a well that is doing $270,000/day in production. I drill/complete big Marcellus wells everyday but these Utica numbers dwarf 95% of the Marcellus wells out there.

Hang onto your seats folks! The fun is just starting!
for grins....given this great production news...how would this change your terms on a lease you are currently negociating. Assuming the acreage is in same area.
these are peak rate #'s.........what they reported to the state as production rate #'s are significantly lower........but still impressive.
Is there a map out there showing what the "wet zone" is located. My well was not mentioned. the Geatchens well in NW Mahoning County. They have removed most of the yellow fracking trailers from the site recently.
I don't think that well is in production yet.
Does anyone know what the zones look like in Medina or Lorain county?

From this map it looks like you are in the wet zone.  Are part of the drilling unit?  If you are could post the hard numbers when you get them?
