I bet the rig will be moving in this week. Assuming it will be Nomac Rig 43 which just drilled a well in Guernsey County.

I was just their yesterday to take some pics on New Cumberland road and there is no equipment their. The pad is very nicely done and it is huge. Like a walmart parking lot.
Does the rig do the drilling/fracking then leave? I assume once it would leave that a conventional tank setup would be put in its place, unless there is going to be a direct connection to a pipeline?
I do not know how this is done in the horizonal wells, But the Clinton and Rose Run wells are drilled, and then the Rig moves out and the Frac Company moves in. All the wells that have been Frac-Ed in Ohio since I have been alive for 55 Yrs. have Seemed none eventful as I recall, and these wells are twice as deep, but now it seems politics is finding it's way into this gold mine of oil. I SAY Drill baby and this will make employment and keep energy dollars in the USA !
drove by  on 9/24...nice pad...no rig
Rig is up. Not drilling yet.

Saturday 7.00 PM

I was just at the New Cumberland site and the engines are cranking and the bit is turning ! They started drilling yesterday the neighbor said. I also saw the Consol signs on 39 East of Sugarcreek. That would take you to the Ragersville area.

...those be the only 2 wells in Tusc being actively drilled right now.

Be long time before we here any production news.

I would say the production for the well on New Cumberland Road will be really great. Look at all the vertical wells that have been drilled 30 years ago. The whole road has wells everywhere. Also has quite  few wells pumping oil on that road.
Yes I noticed all the wells. I talked to the home owner and they said the problem there is everybody is leased with old leases. These wells go down a bit deeper than old Clintons though.
They go a lot farther that Clinton wells. Also rumor has it Chesapeake bought the Marlite building that was for sale on Union Avenue in New Philadelphia beside the Elks Lodge. I think it is another company besides Chesapeake. Saw some of their equipment and it looks like flowback equipment to me.

any update on the New Cumberlanad well?

I saw what looked to be big pumps ( Schlumberger on the side of them) on a flatbed heading that direction on RT 39 yesterday.

the pad is completely clear....except for the wellhead sticking up out of the ground.

Just a guard shack and a fence around the perimeter.

Is it waiting to be fracked?

Any guess as to where the rig went?
