pipeline

 

As I recall from some earlier post most of the right of ways are in place for a pipeline ( is it called the north beaver pipeline? ) running to the thompson well site.

I think some work has commenced on this project but have not seen anything such as actual pipe being put in place.  Waterlines yes ( I believe to tharp pad ) but no pipeline/infrastructure.  The fact they are putting/spending money on waterlines to that pad is a good sign though.  I am guessing more wells to drill and frac soon. 

 

So, even if the right of ways are in place has anyone heard of an expected time of completion on this project?  As everyone knows without it in place, there will just be alot of wells shut in with no production.  Some leases dictate production or limit the shut in period or the lease expires.

Of course I suppose they could just revert to trucking product away from well sites if need be and thus avoid any leases expiring and I do not think any leases state how much has to be produced.

 

Thanks for any info on pipeline progress.  If I see/hear anything I will post it.

I noticed that Appalachian Midstream has filed an amendment to the original approved permit for the gathering lines...yes you have the name right.

I was told that as of last week there was steel pipe being stockpiled along Lihi road or there abouts. I suspect construction will  begin very soon.....and when they lay pipe they don't mess around like we are used to seeing around here.

It appears as though CkP is cutting back for a bit here for now.  I spoke to them and mason dixon and a project near me ( a pad ) has been put on hold.  I was told by mason dixon likely due to cash flow issues that have made the headlines lately.  CKP did not elaborate only that it was on hold.  Not canceled but on hold ( no timeline available ).  I did see where they secured a large loan ( 2 or 3 billion last wk ) and are looking to sell off assets.

So it will be interesting to see if other plans get scrapped and for how long.  I doubt pipeline gets scrapped as it is needed to generate some revenue.

I hear that they are removing the pipe that was laid out for the water line. Anybody know anything about that?

I went down Fredericktown road Sunday. It appears they are leaving the pieces of the waterline that go under the road in place, for use later. This makes sense as they will drill more wells on each pad sometime in the future.

Bring on the dang gathering lines now!!

i am being told they will start this fall on the gathering lines....from a landman....take it for what it is worth.  they are out in full force signing up right o ways for it now.  seems like nobody in beaver county wants to talk about it.

the water line was always intended to be temporary. they finished fracing the lateral they drilled on burdick so they are now taking the water line out. a chunk of it is in the right of way for the gas line so it needs to go before they can start putting that in.

The water line has been removed and the line reseeded.  No activity on the Burdick pad of importance.  Any word on when they hope to start the gathering lines.  They have the Petrick pad well under construction.   Any news is appreciated.

the Petrik well is being drilled and should be finished soon, haven't been out there in a week. They broke something and got behind fixing it. 

I've not been keeping up with things recently.....guess it is time to go for a few rides.

Mark West is talking to folks in my area about a pipeline running along side the power line right of way near me. I should hear from them soon myself. Will keep folks informed.

We talked to a couple of the guys doing the Burdick water line and got different stories ranging from no lines being planned, to they're waiting til fall due to cutting trees, to they'll start shortly.    Even at the low prices, I figure with what they have invested they will be connected up, so if the market gets better, they'll be ready, not wait and start later.

Rode horses across Tharpe Pad, nothing going on there at all.

Here is my 2 cents..I have listened to webcasts by a number or gas companies in the area and they (gas comp) have determined that if they leave a well sit for 60 days or more after fracking... the well will produce 2 to 3 times as much and only drops off half as much as if they start the well imediately after the frac.. so that coud be the reason or they are waiting for the pipelines to get to the site..

From the amount of Hodges trucks that I saw on my way to work along Tusca and 376 yesterday, and the couple I saw on Lisbon, I think they may be starting to move the rig from Petrick.

As far as the gathering lines go, they have started to clear some trees and it looks like a one-call was made for where the line will cross Lisbon Rd. (very close to where the transmission line crosses). Haven't seen any ground broken but I don't make it back along Lihi or Lime Kiln much if at all so they could be coming from that direction to Tharp. The latest I've been told is that the gathering lines should be operational by September, should see the first royalty check in December.
